Virtual Grief Support 1.0

The "Virtual Grief Support" app was developed by a team of virtual volunteers from the non-profit organization My Grief Angels - MyGriefAngels.org. The initiative pays homage to the 500,000 individuals who have passed away in the United States and aims to provide assistance and solace to their families and friends.

In 2014, My Grief Angels introduced the pioneering proximity-based mobile app, allowing individuals to establish local grief support networks. Despite thousands of global downloads and accolades, evolving technologies and the increasing need for support during the pandemic led to the creation of the new "Virtual Grief Support" app by a dedicated team of volunteers.

• Directory of Other Virtual Group Support Groups based on loss type, specific groups, and locations.
• Grief Journal feature enabling users to document their daily thoughts and save them on their device for privacy.
• General Chat Space for interactions when group-specific chat spaces are inactive.
• Families' Grief Stories to acknowledge and share real experiences resulting from the pandemic.
• Your Story Video-Uploader allowing users to contribute their grief journeys for future users' support.
• New Grieving Processes section sharing insights on how grief journeys have evolved during the pandemic.
• The Grief MOOC offering an Online Course on Grief and access to related platforms.
• Grief Groups providing alternatives for users unable or unwilling to engage in video-based support groups.
• News & Information featuring daily updates on Grief, Grief Research, and examples of Grief Into Action.
